The GE46 has an output of 49kW (168,000 BTU/hr) and is 100% thermally efficient.
The GE46 is a direct fired oil heater and is commonly used for localised heating in workshops, foundries and construction; the unit also lends itself to certain horticultural and agricultural applications.
The GE46 has the usual built-in electronic control box for automatic ignition, together with the flame control sensor and overheat thermostat; the AISI 430 stainless steel combustion chamber is protected by a post - ventilation cooling down process. The unit can be easily switched between voltages by simply removing the voltage switch cover, switching to the required voltage, and fitting the appropriate plug and power cable.
As with all forms of direct fired heating, the unit should only be used in a well ventilated area.
The unit can be operated in either a manual or automatic position; with the main swich set to manual (I) the GE46 will run continually until it is switch off manually. Alternatively, with the main switch set to automatic (II) the unit can be operated via an optional Heavy Duty Thermostat, which has a temperature range of -5/+50°c. As with the GE20 and GE36, the GE46 has a durable fuel tank, made from hydrocarbon resistant polythene; the fuel lines are hydrocarbon resistant rubber with a reinforced textile.
The unit is pump driven, providing a consistently accurate pump pressure and quality of ignition.
