Ulster Prince seed potatoes are a famous, first early variety, first listed in 1947 and renowned for their boiling qualities when cooked straight after harvest.
Ulster Prince tubers are long and white, with shallow eyes and white flesh. These seed potatoes also have good resistance to common scab, powdery scab and disintegration in the pan when boiling.
Excellent drought resistance makes Ulster Prince a very popular potato in Cumbria, Lancashire and the surrounding counties.
First earlies are typically ready for harvesting around 13-15 weeks from planting.
